Turmeric (Curcuma longa)
Turmeric is a plant native to Southeast Asia. Over the past 10 years, substances which have been given the name of curcuminoids were isolated from the rhizome of Curcuma longa.
Curcumin is the major compound found in the class of curcuminoids. This is very powerful antioxidants. This powerful antioxidant activity could explain many indications of this traditional medicinal plant (including Ayurveda) such as inflammatory disorders (relief of arthritis, rheumatism or menstruation, to treat certain skin inflammations, eye, etc.).. This plant also has a specific analgesic activity.
Besides the presence of these molecules, the rhizome of turmeric contains many vitamins, minerals and other micronutrients of interest.
Polyphenolic pigment curcumin, which gives the characteristic yellow color to turmeric rhizome powder. It's powerful anti-inflammatory as it inhibits cyclooxygenase 2 (or Cox-2) and the NF-kappa B involved in proinflammatory processes. Turmeric is also a protective gastric, liver and heart cells.
Devil's Claw (Harpagophytum procumbens)
It is a plant native to South Africa which contains as active ingredients, to major harpagosides, harpagoquinones, flavonoids ... Devil's claw is traditionally used for its work on rheumatism and, in particular, inflammation
and joint pain they cause. Devil's Claw is shown in scientific studies, some more effective drugs against back pain and arthritis.
In vitro and in animals indicate that the anti-inflammatory action of devil's claw is different from that of anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). The plant has an analgesic effect.
The feverfew (Tanacetum parthenium)
Feverfew is a plant native to South-East Europe, it also grows in North America and Australia. Its main effect of relieving pain, lower fever, or to stimulate menstrual flow. ESCOP and WHO recognize the effectiveness of feverfew leaf for migraine prevention. Furthermore it is traditionally used herbal treatment for joint inflammation such as rheumatic pain, back pain, etc.. The parthenolides that feverfew contains are the main ingredients of this plant.
The White Willow (Salix alba)
The use of willow bark has crossed centuries and civilizations. The bark of white willow contains salicin which the body metabolizes salicylic acid has analgesic and antipyretic. Acetylsalicylic acid (found in Aspirin ® for example) acts more rapidly than willow bark, but its effect is less extended in time and it causes side effects (irritation of the lining of the stomach and inhibition of coagulation) that the plant did not cause.
Commission E and ESCOP recognize the effectiveness of willow bark to reduce fever and relieve rheumatic pains and headache.
The Boswellia (Boswellia serrata)
India, China and North Africa, the resin is used for millennia Boswell. The resin Boswell is part of the official pharmacopoeia of India and China. It contains several compounds (boswellic acid) that reduce the inflammatory process by acting on cytokines and leukotrienes. In addition, boswellic acids oppose the adhesion of white blood cells to sites where they cause inflammation. It is commonly used against asthma, arthritis and osteoarthritis or inflammatory bowel disease.
Ginger (Zingiber officinale)
Ginger contains about 500 active ingredients including 12 antioxidants. Gingerol (and other molecules that inhibit Cox 2, 5-Lx, and Lx-12) it contains will potentiate the anti-inflammatory effects of different plants present in the composition of Nutralgic New Formula.
Black Pepper (Piper nigrum)
Titled piperine, this extract will allow different molecules with anti-inflammatory molecule (very fragile) to pass the barrier of the digestive tract to be much better absorbed and thus have greater effectiveness.
